Dear users,
The eOLF (electronic online filing of inventions) software kit can be downloaded by following the steps in the Manual or by following the link https://osim.ro/images/software/OLF515.zip .
We remind you that, in the context of the decommissioning of the eOLF application and the cessation of technical support by the European Patent Office, OSIM can no longer provide interventions to remedy any technical errors generated by this situation.
The application is still available and can be used by most applicants. However, in the event of malfunctions in the document transmission process, users are asked to use alternative submission methods, namely:
– paper submission at OSIM headquarters;
– sending documents by postal services;
To ensure continuity and modernization of the services offered, OSIM is currently developing and testing a new online filing solution, which will replace the current application. Users will be officially informed once it is launched into production.
OSIM is taking all necessary steps to maintain access to its services.

EPO-OLF system version 5
The full package for installing the Online Filing program version 5.15 (Release 5.0.15) with updates (stand-alone and/or server and thin client) may be downloaded from the portal epoline Download centre section; the documentation drawn-up by EPO.
January 2025 – Fees patch
Starting with 01.01.2025, for updating the amount (in lei) of the fees calculated by the program Online Filing, for the patent applications and/or the translations of European patents, you need to download and install the patch ‘roptch5021.exe’.
After downloading it on your computer, all you need to do is double-click and follow the steps from the installation interface.
The patch is also available by the feature „Live Update” (if you have not disabled this option upon software installation).
January 2023 – Fees patch
Starting with 01.01.2023, for updating the amount (in lei) of the fees calculated by the program Online Filing, for the patent applications and/or the translations of European patents, you need to download and install the patch ‘roptch5018.exe’.
After downloading it on your computer, all you need to do is double-click and follow the steps from the installation interface.

Starting with 01.01.2021, for updating the amount (in lei) of the fees calculated by the program Online Filing, for the patent applications and/or the translations of European patents, you need to download and install the patch ‘roptch5014.exe’, of 12 December 2020 (“Adjustment of fees for all Romanian national procedures with effect from 1 January 2021”).
After downloading it on your computer, all you need to do is double-click and follow the steps from the installation interface.
The patch is also available by the feature „Live Update” (if you have not disabled this option upon software installation).

Starting with 01.01.2020, for updating the amount (in lei) of the fees calculated by the program Online Filing, for the patent applications and/or the translations of European patents, you need to download and install the patch ‘roptch5013.exe’ of 19 December 2018 (“1 January 2020 fee changes for RO national procedures”) from the EPO website.
After downloading it on your computer, all you need to do is double-click and follow the steps from the installation interface.

January 2019 – Fees patch
Starting with 08.01.2019, the server security certificates for the electronic filing of the patent applications, PCT national phase entries and/or the translations of European patents, by using Online Filing, have been updated.
For updating, you need to download and install the patch ‘roptch5011.exe’, of 8 January 2019 (“Updated certificates required for filings with OSIM”) from the EPO website.
After downloading it on your computer, all you need to do is double-click and follow the steps from the installation interface.
