DOCUMENTARY SEARCH ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS SERVICES IN THE FIELD OF INVENTIONS OFFERED BY THE STATE OFFICE FOR INVENTIONS AND TRADEMARKS
The most important and the most frequently required services in the field of patent information are the documentary search services. In order to respond to the requirements of our clients as well as possible, the offer of documentary search services has been diversified as follows:

Discontinuation of standard and special searches by the European Patent Office
     The European Patent Office will cease to perform standard and special searches starting with 1 September 2007 ( see EPA notification ).
    Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks, through its search services, offers such patent searches which EPA will no longer perform.

Note:
For the services under paras 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9 the following fee reduction shall be available in respect of categories of clients:
a) The industrial property attorneys and the Regional Centres for Promotion of Industrial Property Protection shall benefit by a 20% reduction of the final price of the requested searches.
b) Research and university institutions, the non-governmental organizations and foundations with humanitarian purpose as well as the natural persons benefit by 30% reduction of the final price of the requested searches.
c) The SME-type economic units with a rate of turnover on the previous fiscal year less than the equivalent in lei of 2 million Euro, benefit by a 30% reduction of the final price of the requested searches.
